Inspired by Chikankari Embroidery
Chikankari embroidery originated as early as 3000 BC. White thread is embroidered on pastel shades of muslin, silk, chiffon, organza or net. The stitches used include backstitch, chain stitch, hemstitch, and french knots. The patterns are influenced Persian elements of design which focus on nature. Paisley designs are a very common and they symbolizes health, peace and fertility.
