Inspired by Kantha Embroidery

Kantha embroidery is practiced by rural women living in West Bengal, India. The cloth is covered with running stitches, creating beautiful motifs of flowers, animals, birds and geometrical shapes. The thought behind this work was to reuse old clothes and materials and turn them into something new.
